Curator and art director Denis Curti also contributes an essay, analyzing the relationship between the French humanist photographers that were Weiss’ contemporaries (Doisneau, Brassaï, Cartier-Bresson) and Italian neorealism, as expressed in Weiss’ oeuvre. |
