Starting from the Shah’s ousting in the pivotal year of 1979, each unit presents unique perspectives on important moments in history and their impact on social, demographic, economic, and environmental issues in Iran today. The textbook facilitates attainment of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Advanced High level and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) C1 level, respectively, and it is designed for students who have achieved the ACTFL’s Intermediate High or CEFR’s B1 proficiency standards.
